PITCH
ROCK THE VOTE & CBS EYE SPEAK
In honor of Women’s History Month, CBS Eye Speak, an internal CBS initiative committed to providing insight and opportunities for women, planned an educational celebration focused on the importance of voting; as a result of the below pitch, Rock the Vote accepted our invitation, but the event was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic.
In honor of Women’s History Month, we are planning an EYE Speak event that focuses on voting literacy and the importance of using our voices. We would love the support of Rock The Vote at this event to further educate our attendees and facilitate voter registration.
The EYE Speak Leadership program is a natural outgrowth of CBS Corporation's ongoing commitment to providing insight and opportunities for women – both within the Company and media industry as a whole. Since its launch in February 2018, EYESpeak has hosted events, panels, and fireside chats featuring talent and producers like Lucy Liu, Sonequa Martin-Green, Aline Brosh McKenna, Jennie Snyder Urman, Christine Baranski, Michelle King, and numerous CBS executives.
As part of our ongoing empowerment programming, we’re requesting Rock The Vote join us during our celebration at the CBS Radford lot on March 10 from 12-2 PM. We will have a number of stations set up during the event, including a “Give Back” station where attendees will assemble care packages for the Downtown Women’s Center, an Emmy Voting Registration station, a Social Media station to further boost awareness, and food trucks. We would love for your team to set up a Voter Registration station!
As a leader within the nonpartisan nonprofit space, we strongly believe your presence at our event would help continue to build the political literacy of the younger generation – a mission we are all after, together.
Please let us know if you have any questions – we’re really looking forward to this event and hope that you’ll be able to help us continue to engage young voters.
